■ Features The X2 capacitor is internally connected in parallel with a discharge resistor. Excellent flame-retardant performance. Widely used in anti-interference applications such as across-line power supplies. This RC capacitor is extensively employed in: ● Audio filtering, forming low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and band-stop filters. ● Constructing Wien bridges for use in measuring instruments or as low-frequency oscillators. ● Converting high-voltage AC to low-voltage DC without using a transformer. ● Building dual-T circuits for constructing band-pass filters or frequency-selective amplifiers. ● Serving as a signal load and providing DC blocking function in AC amplifiers, and so forth in various RC circuits.

Product Description

RC with resistor and capacitor

What is an RC capacitor? A capacitor that is charged by a power supply voltage Vu through a resistor R is called an RC capacitor. It is also known as an RC filter, which is constructed from a resistor and a capacitor. There are two types of RC filters: low-pass filters and high-pass filters. The formula for calculating the cutoff frequency of an RC filter is: F(cutoff) = 1 / (2πRC). The cutoff frequency is the frequency at which the filter’s frequency response exhibits an inflection point. This capacitor is manufactured by winding polypropylene film material and undergoing a series of preliminary processes—up to the stage where gold plating is applied to both sides of the capacitor—before being combined with resistors and capacitors of different resistance values to form the final product. RC filters can be configured in either series or parallel arrangements.
